Born and raised in Christchurch, Matt graduated with his now wife Alex, and together they moved to Australia to work for one of the largest chiropractic practices in the Southern Hemisphere.
Being part of Australia’s largest chiropractic network means Matt has experienced just about everything. From working in urban centres to rural, from children to the elderly, from peak performance athletes to people with debilitating health conditions, Matt has found this all incredibly rewarding.
Matt and Alex returned home to Christchurch to start their family and found Connect Chiropractic, their dream practice. Matt loves reconnecting with the Christchurch communities he’s known and loved all his life. He’s looking forward to helping you all reach your health goals.

Dr. Alex is a warm and vibrant chiropractor whose expertise is working with babies, children and mothers. As a mum herself, Alex knows the importance of feeling welcomed, relaxed, and more importantly supported. She strives to create an environment for families where they feel seen, heard, relaxed and appreciated.
Dr. Alex has wide experience from general chiropractic practice in both Australia and New Zealand. Since graduating in 2014; Dr. Alex has had a special interest in pediatric health and wellbeing. She has always been committed to deepening her skills and knowledge within pediatric and maternity care. Undertaking postgraduate learning within functional neurology, pediatric neurodevelopment, breastfeeding peer support, Oral motor function and Tongue ties (ankyloglossia).
Most recently Dr. Alex has spent her spare time undertaking her yoga teacher training adding valuable tools both mentally and physically to her maternity care. As well as that in the last 6 months working in a multidisciplinary team in Norway, including a chiropractic pediatric & adolescence specialist, midwife and lactation consultant, ENT and physiotherapists. Gaining further knowledge within her special interest field working largely with challenges such as infant and child neurodevelopment and a large variety of atypical development patterns, primitive reflexes, tongue ties and oral motor function. In addition to more common infant challenges such as head turning preferences, flathead syndrome, torticollis, colic and general breastfeeding challenges.
Dr. Alex is married to Dr. Matt and together they have two children ages 3 & 6.
Dr Manisha graduated from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic following her undergraduate study of human anatomy at the University of Otago.
Manisha has previously practiced in Wellington, Christchurch, Australia and is excited to return back to Christchurch permanently to serve the Ferrymead community.
Manisha’s special interests are in family and pregnancy care, injury prevention and supporting general wellbeing through chiropractic care. She also has a background in sacro-occipital technique (SOT), which includes cranial adjusting.
Manisha has a strong passion for how the human body functions, through her practice she seeks to educate individuals to help empower a healthier, functional lifestyle to help reach whatever their health goals may be.
In her spare time Manisha enjoys aerials, indoor rock climbing and spending time with family and friends.
Kate is very fortunate to be the third generation in her family to receive chiropractic care. Coming from an active family of five children, chiropractic ensured that her body was connected and functioning at its best. Always wanting to pursue a career in health, it wasn't until exploring post-graduate options that she came across the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. She never looked back.
Kate is born and bred in Christchurch. She loves to help those who wish to improve their health, wellbeing and express the best version of themselves. Kate loves to provide care to all members of the family.
Kate is both a fantastic manual chiropractic adjuster and masterful with lighter force techniques such as activator and drop assist adjusting
If Kate is not at the practice, she will be dancing and singing somewhere, doing yoga or spending time running after her niece and nephew.
Ruby grew up in Christchurch, and from a young age, she felt a deep desire to help others lead healthier and more fulfilling lives. After studying at the New Zealand College of Massage and working as a massage therapist for six years, Ruby realised that while massage offers benefits, chiropractic care could address a wider range of physical and neurological issues. This inspired her to pursue chiropractic as the next step in her healthcare journey. She graduated from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.
Ruby has a passion for helping individuals manage chronic symptoms and strives to create a supportive environment where people feel welcomed, heard, and empowered.
In addition to her work with chronic conditions for people of all ages, Ruby is passionate about paediatric and pregnancy care.
Outside of her practice, Ruby enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly gardening, or time in the ocean. She also values quality time with friends and family. She’s looking forward to support you to heal and achieve your health goals.
